It was a beautiful sunny day in Sunrise Manor. The birds were chirping in a new day while the children were in the streets and on the sidewalks playing. Leo, a smart young child was on his bike trying to do some tricks or just showing off to the others. He bounced, spun and balanced on the seat. He did it so easily that it looked like he was not even connected to gravity.
Meanwhile, further down the street there was a neighbor that the children all knew as Madman Professor Budman. The Professor was experimenting in his garage laboratory. Budman laughed while he dripped some solution onto two little baby dolls. Then he laughed some more talking to himself out loud, “This will be my greatest creation ever.”
He placed the dolls between two electrodes. When he threw the switch, the dolls started to spark. Budman stood back to watch and waited to see what would happen. One of the dolls arms started to twitch and the other dolls leg started to kick. “It’s alive!” he yelled and then laughed a sinister laugh, “Ha, Ha, Ha, arise my babies, arise.”
Both of the dolls started to shake violently. They shook so much that it rocked the table and tipped over a bottle of the Professor’s super grow plant food. The dolls absorbed the juice quickly and started to smoke. Professor Budman screamed, “Noooo!” while running out of the garage door, coughing from the green smoke.
The smoke rolled out from the garage and across the street and started to bellow into the air. The children all went down to see what was going on. Professor Budman raised his arms, “Stay back, get away” he yelled, “I don’t know what’s going to happen.” Sparks started to fly like lightning from out of the garage through the green cloud of smoke.
The lightning stopped and the green smoke faded away. Then an eerie sound came from the garage. “OOH, OOH, WEE, AAH.” Leo saw a big two headed doll start to crawl out from under the garage door. It was cute but it was now six feet tall. Once it was outside in the sun, it started to grow bigger and bigger.
Leo shouted to the Professor, “Professor! Look out.” Leo grabbed him just before the big thing’s leg came around and out of the garage. All the children screamed and started to run away. This frightened the giant baby and it too ran down the street. Leo asked the Professor, “Are you all right?”
The Professor got up and straightened his lab coat, “Yes, yes, I’m fine. My babies, my babies, what have I done? This was not supposed to happen.” He looked around, “Where did they go? Oh my poor babies, I need to get them back here in order to fix this. Could you help me, please?”
Leo looked at the Professor, “Sure, I can probably find them but to get them back might be a problem.”
The Professor put his hand on Leo’s shoulder, “Leave that up to me. Just make sure that they are safe. I’ll go back to my laboratory and see if I can come up with an antidote.” Leo jumped on his bike and the Professor went back into his garage.
About a block down the street, a puff of smoke appeared on the sidewalk and (POOF) Joe the Magician appeared. He held out his hand to stop Leo. Leo stopped and Joe started to speak, “I am Joe the Magnificent and I know what you seek. I can help you in your endeavor. If you can attain the whereabouts of the creature and direct it back into the place of origin from which it came, then I, the great and powerful, can manifest it to an appropriate perportion.”
            Leo scratched his head, “What?”
Joe the Magician turned and crossed his arms, “Get it back to the garage, kid and I will shrink it.”
Leo nodded his head, “Oh, okay, that’s easier said than done but I’ll try.”
Joe the Magician turned around and (POOF) disappeared in a cloud of smoke. After the smoke cleared, Leo looked down and saw these big footprints across the wet lawns leading down the block. He got back on his bike and followed the trail.
Leo followed the trail down to the park. There in the park, the giant two headed baby was sitting on the ground pushing the swing set back and forth. Leo hid behind a tree and said to himself, “Well, I found it, now what do I do?” All of a sudden, Joe the Magician popped in behind Leo. Leo jumped with surprise, “Ahhh, you scared me. Don’t do that.”
Joe the Magician looked at the creature, “Wow, that’s bigger than I thought.” He put his hand on his chin and thought, “I think I can still help though.”
Leo responded back, “Good, you stay here and keep an eye on her and I’ll go and get the Professor.”
Before Joe could answer back, Leo was on his bike already riding away. “But, but…” Joe said with his finger in the air.
Leo rode straight back to the Professor’s house to tell him where the giant baby went and also to ask him what to do next. There in the garage was a government agent with Professor Budman. Agent 037 was writing down a statement of evidence. Leo rode up into the garage on his bike, “Professor, I found it. It went down to the park but we have to hurry.”
Agent 037 said, “Yes, let’s take my car, I need to see this.” All three of them jumped into a big black SUV and headed to the park. Leo pointed them to the direction of the swings but the thing wasn’t there anymore.
Just then a big puff of smoke appeared right next to the SUV and Joe the Magnificent tapped on the window. They all jumped with surprise. Then Agent 037 rolled down the window. Joe pointed across the lake, “She went over to the parking lot, follow me.” Joe darted across the park and across the water, above the lake, to the other side. The SUV had to drive around. When they reach the parking lot, they saw the monster pushing a Mini Cooper around in a circle.
When they got out of the SUV, Professor Budman was surprised to see how big his creation had become. The Professor walked toward his creation and tried to talk to it. “Ah, my babies, come now, come with me” he said.
The monster saw the Professor and gave him an angry look. Then it reached down and picked up a boulder from the park. She growled and threw the rock at the Professor. Leo pulled him aside, “Watch out! I don’t think she likes you.”
Professor Budman sighed, “Because of the electrodes and her first vision of me, she probably thinks of me as pain. So, what do we do now?”
Agent 037 went to his radio, “I’m calling the military.”
Joe the Magician stopped him, “No wait! If we can just get it back to the garage, I know I can change it back. Let’s at least try before we panic all the people. We don’t need the military blowing up our town.”
Agent 037 put down his radio, “Alright then, so how do you suggest we do that?”
The Professor answered, “I think I can solve that problem. Let’s get back to my laboratory.”
The three of them got back into the SUV and quickly drove away. Joe the Magician stayed to keep an eye on the monster. When they got back to the lab, Professor Budman went to his cabinet and pulled out a pack of Oreo cookies, “This should do the trick.”
Leo looked at the cookies, “There is no time for lunch. We have a monster to detain.”
The Professor turned around holding up one of the cookies, “Exactly! She should be hungry by now and who can resist an Oreo cookie?”
Leo squinted, “That is so small. I don’t think she would even be able to see that cookie.”
The Professor put the cookie on the table and poured some of his super grow plant food mix onto it. Then he hooked up the electrodes and turned on the switch, “Wait for it.” The cookie started to bubble and bounce, then he shut off the power. The cookie started to grow and got to the size of a big couch cushion.
Leo was impressed, “Wow, that’s a big cookie. Now I am hungry.”
The professor strapped the cookie onto a wagon, “Take this cookie to her and entice her. Get her to follow you back to here. Now go, hurry.” Leo grabbed the wagon and hooked it on the back of his bike and headed to the park.
When he arrived, Joe the Magician was doing magic tricks to make the monster stay in one spot. The two headed baby doll was laughing, clapping and rocking back and forth. Leo turned his bike around and yelled to the monster, “Hey baby, are you hungry? I got a cookie.”
The monster turned and started to get up, “Yummmm, cookieeee.” Leo started to paddle away, while the monster followed close behind.
Joe floated alongside of the bike to watch the monster. Leo watch the monster but turned to Joe and asked, “How are you doing that?”
Joe replied, “Easy, it’s magic. Go a little faster, she’s catching up.” Leo sped up and headed down the street to the Professor’s garage. When they reach the garage, Leo stopped quickly and rolled the cookie through the door and then moved out of the way. The two headed monster crawled into the garage after the cookie and they closed the door.
Leo looked at Joe, “You better make it quick.”
Joe the Magician started to wave his arms and say some Hokey Pokey words. “Grab your hat, grab your socks. Shrink this monster in this box. Back to normal, size should be, let the power, be released by me.”
The monster started to bang on the garage door and the green smoke started to roll out from underneath. All of a sudden, they heard a big (Bang, boom, rattle, rattle,) come from inside the garage. The smoke stopped and so did the noise. Professor Budman open the garage door. There on the floor of the garage were too cute little baby dolls walking around trying to reach the giant cookie on the wagon. Professor Budman was so excited, “My babies, oh my precious babies. Thank you, Joe the magnificent, thank you.” Then he went into the garage and picked up the two baby dolls. The Professor rolled the giant cookie out into the street. “Cookie for everyone!” he announced.
All the children from the neighborhood came and cheered. Leo shook hands with Agent 037 then turned and saw some of the kids starting to turn green after eating the cookie. He turned back to Agent 037 and said, “Oh, oh, here we go again.”
