Lesson 41
Keywords

Good day to my friends. Another week has passed, and another class is sent. I hope you are all doing great on your book, or books. I know that I am, well at least writing them. Today I want to talk about the internet, and how people can find your book. The internet uses KEYWORDS that will pop up when people type in what they are looking for. If I wanted to search for tomato soup recipes, I would type in Tomato soup recipes, and everything related to tomatoes would pop up from growing tomatoes, tomato seeds, markets, planting, and recipes using tomatoes.

HYPE
Another week has passed us by, and I hope you had fun even if you are not finished with your book, I hope you took a break and made up some ads to help you sell your book once it has been placed on the market. Have you come up with any of your own ideas that you would like to share? Send them to me, and I might put them into another lesson. So let’s get on with it for today.

Lesson 39
Sales Pitch

Good day to all. Last week we talked about editing, so hopefully your book is done. You have it published and on the market. Now you have to advertise. You need to place ads in as many places as possible, hopefully for free. You will also have to probably place your book on pay display ads. In order to do this you need to make up blurbs, short sentences to explain your book.

Lesson 38
Edit, edit, edit
Welcome back; I hope you are having fun with your books, and enjoying my lessons. I have no doubt that you have found typos or mistakes in my other thirty-seven lessons. These were only edited by myself, and my wife, and myself again. Just for fun, send me your thoughts. Let me know what you’re working on. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know. Meanwhile, I want to relay what I have run into.

Lesson 37
Writers Block:
Welcome back. These weeks have been fun for me. Let me know your thoughts. It’s good writing practice. Let’s get started. I sat down to make our morning coffee and thought, “What am I doing?” I’ve been putting off writing while writing these classes to share. You could say that I have writer’s block, and I am avoiding my books. I am still working on three. One is the fifth book for the Wild Boys series. The other two are my screenplays that people wanted me to write into books, so I am rewriting them. I don’t know which is harder, taking a book and cutting out description to make a screenplay, or taking a screenplay and adding a whole bunch of detail, drama, and scene.

Welcome back for another week. All my classes are posted on my website in case you missed any, or want to refresh. I hope your week was filled with interesting events. Today I want to continue on marketing. These are just thoughts I have come up with. I am not going to scare you with costs, because these are all up to you.

Lesson 35
Costs
Welcome back to another class. I hope everything is going your way with no setbacks, no-cost, and all free things are helping, like this class. I wanted to share with you some expenses that go with being an author.
We all should have the initial expense of roughly $2560.

Printing. Lesson 34
Welcome back for another week. I hope you found the last seven days extremely productive. Today I want to take a break and just talk, so here we go.
Publishers used to have to buy books in lots of 1000 to keep the cost down. I don’t see why it makes much difference if you set up and print ten books or 1000. One book costs $3.60 to print, but the more you buy, the price goes down. This stands true for a lot of things, such as puzzles, calendars, pens, pencils, business cards, and a-like.

 Consignment sales. Lesson 33
Welcome back. I hope your week proved prosperous. Today I want to share a thought that someone else had given me.
I have talked a few times about relying on other people to sell your books. They post your book on websites, and place your book in a biannual catalog for over 30,000 stores. Big deal. I have also mentioned that when bookstores purchase from the catalogues, they must buy fifty copies of each book. That rolls into a hefty price if they don’t sell. No wonder why they are going out of business competing with .99 cent e-books.
