Last week I did not post. Taxes you know, and a whole new headache for authors. I don't want to get into that today. Maybe soon. Today's will also be short. I promise.
BUYER BEWARE WITH FREELANCER.
I recently wanted to find an artist to do my book cover and went to Fiverr which somehow switched me to freelancers. I did find an artist and had them do two covers for me.
The problem is that they have over 19 million customers to which they charge a fee on both ends, Hold money in their account that is under $30.00 and will not release it until it is over that mark. Also their customer service is all just computer on line questions and answers that explain everything, but still gives no answers and they do not get back to you if you have a complaint.
It may have been my fault on pushing the confusing buttons and giving them to much money on my account, but my freelancer artist is also having trouble getting the money out.
If they are charging all 19 million people for each transaction at a percentage along with a $3.50 transaction fee, and holding money for who knows how long to gain interest, How much are they making from us?
Personally when my account gets straighten out, I will not be using freelancers services any more. Luckily it was only a small amount. Think about the persons who need projects done that cost 2 and 3 Hundred dollars, and you can’t get your money back or your artist paid. All that I am saying is Buyer Be Forewarned. Just trying to help you avoid a headache.
Good day to you, and welcome. I appreciate your time that you are spending to see what I have posted each week. Please help me out by spreading the news to your friends. I really enjoy this time to share with you my thoughts and books. Enjoy and drop me a line. I would love to hear your feedback.
