WEEKLY NEWS

My thoughts hopefully will be posted once per week throughout the year. At the bottom left or right corners, it will display previous or forward stamp for more pages. It is very light, and hard to notice.
Enjoy

The Wild Boys, A space Adventure
When I had to get a job in a different state, I missed my children every day. My nights were lonely and I had plenty of time to think. My kids said I should write them a story, so I could read it to them when I came home. I really didn’t know what I was doing, but I wrote the cutest story about my boys and their sisters getting caught up in an adventure with aliens. I put them in the best setting that I knew, Columbus, Wisconsin, where I grew up.

I wrote the book and darned that I later found out that it was actually written like a screen play. Everyone who read it said it should be on the silver screen. I tried Disney, but Mr. Isner said they only used inside writers. So I took writing classes, and turned it into a book.
I didn’t know anything about the computer, or publishing, so I found a pay publisher and turned my work over. After five months, the book was on the market. They asked me if I wanted a subtitle to draw more attention on what the book was about, so I said, A Space Adventure. I am very glad that I did, because this book started a series that has stretched to five books about the Wild Boys and their sisters. Book Five, Coming of age is still in the writing phase, but the first four are on amazon and kindle, and are selling worldwide.
I had over 6,000 hits alone on the first day of release just on the cover. It might be priced a little high being that it was set by the publishing company. I have to see how I can change it, although I happened to see it on sale on ebay for $19.
If you have boys who love to read adventure books, this is a great collection, and hopefully will make it to the screen. Until next week, have fun.

EXCERPT:
…Walking into the crash area, they had to climb over and under a few fallen trees. There were about ten trees that were sheared off, mangled or maimed. There were pieces of craft and glass-string wire stretched out all over the place. The main body of the ship had bounced into the ground and out, leaving a deep hole. It came to rest tilted upright against a big acorn tree. The boys climbed through the mess to get to the hull of the ship on the passenger side. They wanted to see if there were any survivors.
They all walked up to the ship on the right hand side of the vessel. The hatch was broken open, leaving the control panels and the seats visible. They could see all the instruments but no victims. All they found was this yellow oil like stuff splattered about the left side of the cockpit.
Chris looked at the craft, “Hey, bucket seats.” He climbed in, sat in the passenger seat on the right, tapped the instrument panels and grabbed the stick.
Rick scratched his head, “Where’s the pilot? Someone had to be flying this thing.”
Mike went to look in the woods pass the acorn tree, “Maybe he flew out over here?”
Rick started around the back side of the ship and examined it as he went. Chris turned to look back at Rick, “Maybe it was unmanned.” Just then a long arm with a big wide hand reached over from the left side of the craft and grabbed Chris’ arm. It was covered with the sticky yellow oil and attached to the crash victim. Chris turned back to look and screamed in terror, “Hey! Let go.” But the hand didn’t let go.
